Home insulation

High Quality Insulation for Homes

Spray foam insulation creates a high-performance insulation and air-sealing layer across walls, rooflines, underfloors and other suitable areas of a home.

It is an excellent choice for high-performance new builds and can also be installed during renovations or used to improve suitable areas of existing homes.

Why spray foam

High-quality insulation with lasting benefits

Spray foam insulates and seals the building envelope in one continuous system.

Seals gaps

Spray foam expands around framing and into small gaps, helping prevent drafts and reduce pathways used by dust, pollen and airborne allergens.

Continuous air seal

No conventional fitted insulation seals around framing and irregular shapes as completely as spray foam.

Stays in place

The foam bonds to the surface and does not slump or settle, helping maintain consistent insulation performance.

Insulation value

Spray foam provides a very high insulation value for its thickness, making effective use of the available space. View the foam options.

Life of the building

Spray foam is designed to last for the life of the building.

Comfort and efficiency

Insulation and air sealing work together to support more stable indoor temperatures and lower heating and cooling demand.

Insulated to finished

Built into the home

Depending on the system and construction, spray foam can be installed to the interior or exterior of the building envelope. Once the build is complete, it continues providing insulation and air sealing.

Foam options

Choosing your spray foam insulation

Both open-cell and closed-cell systems provide high-quality insulation and air sealing. The product details and R-values are covered on the individual information pages.

Closed-cell foam

Higher R-value per mm

A rigid insulation system with a very high insulation value for its thickness. It can be used for interior and exterior applications and is resistant to moisture.

Open-cell foam

Comfort & sound control

A high-quality, lightweight insulation system for interior walls, rooflines and projects where acoustic performance is also important.

Common questions

Residential spray foam insulation questions

Can spray foam insulation be used in existing homes?

Yes. Spray foam can be installed in suitable roof spaces, underfloors and other accessible areas. During renovations it can be applied when wall or ceiling cavities are exposed.

How long does spray foam insulation last?

Spray foam is designed to last for the life of the building. It bonds to the surface and does not slump or settle.

What surfaces will spray foam insulation stick to?

Spray foam can be applied to timber, concrete, concrete block, steel, metal and compacted aggregate, along with many irregular building surfaces.

What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?

Closed-cell foam provides more insulation value per millimetre and can be used for interior or exterior applications. Open-cell foam is a lightweight interior insulation system that also provides acoustic benefits.

Does spray foam insulation stop drafts?

Yes. Spray foam expands into gaps and forms a continuous air-sealing layer around framing, junctions and irregular shapes.

Is spray foam suitable for underfloor insulation?

Yes, provided we have at least 700 mm of clearance.
