Spray Foam Insulation Projects
A selection of spray foam insulation projects completed by LJ Solutions
Here is some of our work across residential, commercial, education and container projects. The photos show completed insulation, application details and the preparation involved.
Deck roof insulation
We applied 50 mm of closed-cell spray foam directly to the underside of the roofing iron to reduce radiant heat and help prevent condensation dripping into the finished deck area.
The reused power poles were a feature of the structure, so the preparation and masking were carefully planned to protect their character. More than 700 finishing timbers were due to be installed over the insulated roof.

Brewery storage container insulation
This container was prepared for beer and wine storage. We installed 40 mm of closed-cell foam to reduce temperature swings and condensation against the steel shell.
The client chose to leave the foam in its natural finish because the interior receives very little UV exposure. Other projects may require an internal lining or protective coating depending on use, fire requirements and exposure.

Deep soffit insulation
A large coastal home required 150 mm of closed-cell spray foam to its soffit overhang. The depth and location made standard insulation placement difficult.
Access was limited, so the application was planned around a 50-metre heated hose run. This allowed the equipment to remain in a practical setup area while the applicator reached the soffit safely.

Container learning space
This container was being converted into a student learning area. Before insulation, the steel interior was regularly wet with morning condensation.
We installed 40 mm of closed-cell spray foam to the walls and ceiling, working around the framing and planned internal fit-out. Insulating the steel surface addressed the temperature difference that was driving the condensation.
